Special Auto Rates & Benefits for NJ Educators & Staff!

Founded in 1997, Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ recognizes that educators are a special class of people who deserve a break for all they do for our children and community.

Our special rates are meant for NJ residents who work for or are retired from an accredited school, district or diocese, including:

• Active and retired teachers or professors
• Administrators
• School librarians
• Early childhood education professionals
• Staff members of professional education associations
• Current School Board officials
• Support staff employed by a state-licensed educational institution
• School medical staff
• Guidance counselors
• Substitute teachers

General:

Insurance in NJ is offered by Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey on behalf of Teachers Auto Insurance Company of New Jersey and its affiliates. Each company is financially responsible only for its own insurance products. Teachers’ Insurance benefits are available to active and retired New Jersey educators and other members of the educational community and their household members who reside in New Jersey. Amount based on average annual savings reported by Teachers Auto Insurance Company of New Jersey customers who switched between 6/1/2020 and 12/31/2020. Your premium may vary due to available discounts, driving record and other factors.

30%:
Total savings percentage represents the maximum available discount for new customers applied to Teachers’ Insurance Plan of NJ base rates. Certain discounts may not be available depending on coverages and eligibility. YUBI usage based program discount not available to all customers.

Roadside Assistance:
Roadside assistance is provided by Quest Towing Services (QTS). Water and up to two gallons of gas are provided at no charge (delivery of gas limited to four (4) times in any twelve (12) month period). Other fluids provided at additional cost. If your car is disabled, it will be towed to the closest dealer or authorized repair facility of your choice within 25 miles. If there is no repair facility within 25 miles, then it will be towed to the closest repair facility, with no out-of-pocket expense (towing limited to six (6) occurrences in any twelve (12) month period). Roadside assistance is not available for vehicles that are disabled as a result of an accident. A $75 limit applies to reimbursements for roadside assistance services that were not obtained by contacting QTS. If a service call is not cancelled before the service provider is on their way, or the policyholder is not present when the service provider arrives, it will count towards their usage limit even if no service is provided.

Crashbusters & Door to Door:
Available to customers who have purchased comprehensive or collision coverage.

Get Home Safe:
Personal auto insurance policyholders may be reimbursed up to $50 of taxi fees once per policy per year for a one-way ride if they find themselves in a situation where it would be unsafe to operate their vehicle (not applicable to mechanical breakdown). Original receipt must be submitted with the reimbursement form.
