Many readers of this blog will be familiar with the famous line from Game of Thrones¸ ”Winter is coming.” Even more readers will recognize that with the change of seasons, winter break is coming! School calendars situates the winter break either at or near to the mid-way point of the calendar. If you have your plans complete, congratulations. But with about a week until it begins there is still time to change or augment those plans
Combining my experience as a teacher with anecdotal plans I have heard from colleagues and on social media, I have created five “umbrella categories” (see bullets below) which identify how educators spend their vacation. Of course, there are other categories not listed that represent best your vacation plans. Regardless, the Educators Marketplace has partnered with an array of education focused organizations that can support your winter break. Below is just a small sample of ideas found in the Educators Marketplace. Have fun exploring the site and planning your deserved time off!
