Do What’s Best for Teachers

By. Craig Perrier

The title of this post is inspired by a lone principals’ message to a committee of administrators that reminded them that making teachers’ conditions optimal has a positive impact on students’ experiences.  It was a (unfortunately) rare example where teachers were centered in a profession that is continuously demanding.

As a rule for our profession, educators are, by and large, a selfless group of people.  Their time is dedicated to the well being of other people’s children, provide a social service that is consistently underrated, and are in a field that is subject to regular criticism. Still, having been an educator for over two decades, in multiple states, and across a variety of contexts, I stand by this claim as the norm not the exception.

So, when the Educators Marketplace features opportunities dedicated to educators, I am compelled to share them far and wide.  My highlights below represent just a small sample of appreciation.  You can see the full collection dedicated to educators here.

  • Quicksilver: Teachers are heroes too, which is why they are eligible for Quiksilver’s 30% hero discount on apparel for surfing, snowboarding, or just relaxing at the beach.

Doing what’s best for teachers is something that should be said, and done, more often. Please, join me in celebrating teachers for their dedication and service. Thank you and enjoy!
